  • Roche has reached an agreement to grant free access to a cancer drug to the Greek government, EURATIV reported Thursday.

  • "With the free disposal of the drug, we are proving in practice that we continue to respond sensitively and responsibly to the needs of patients and healthcare professionals by overcoming the challenges of adopting restrictive measures in modern health policy," Roche's Greek subsidiary stated.

  • The Greek government had criticised a decision by Roche to withdraw the therapy from the market in response to newly introduced levies on patented drugs.
