  • Google has launched tools to help people recover from drug addiction and also help them to locate places to treat overdose in an emergency situation, reported The Financial Express.

  • The company is launching a new map feature to guide people where to go to attend more than 83,000 addiction recovery meetings.

  • Google Maps will also show people where they can find the opioid receptor antagonist naloxone as a separate tool.

  • According to the company, it has seen an "all-time high" of people searching for recovery treatment on its search engine.
