  • Johnson & Johnson said Wednesday that it is expanding its tuberculosis (TB) programme in India, as reported Business Standard Wednesday.

  • According to the company, the expanded programme aims to broaden access to treatment for multidrug-resistant TB, improve detection of undiagnosed cases, build critical health systems and raise awareness about TB at the community level.

  • Sarthak Ranade noted that Johnson & Johnson is collaborating with the Indian government and with several multilateral and non-governmental organisations to support the country's efforts to eradicate the disease by 2025.
