MoHAP signs MoU to provide medication for cancer and MS patients - (Emirates News Agency via NewsPoints Desk)

  • The United Arab Emirates (UAE) health ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding with Roche to provide medication for certain patients suffering from cancer and multiple sclerosis (MS), reported the Emirates News Agency.

  • Under the agreement, Roche will provide eight innovative cancer and MS drugs to some 100 patients in a year.

  • Mohamed El Shaarawy, general manager for Roche in the UAE, explained that eligible patients are those with low incomes, non-insured patients, or those whose insurance does not cover their treatment.
