Aim to identify practical uses of basic research in the kidney field

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and the Japan Kidney Association, a nonprofit organization, entered into an agreement on February 13, with the aim to advance basic research by young researchers working across the field of kidney science.

For selected research themes, Otsuka Pharmaceutical will conclude joint research agreements with specific research institutions and embark on collaborative research.

Details such as the research application process, the application period for research proposals, and the funding of research expenses will be posted on the Japan Kidney Association website at a future date.
