Over 16 mn children receive polio vaccine under Egyptian government campaign: Minister - (Egypt Independent via NewsPoints Desk)

  • Egypt's national campaign to eradicate polio has succeeded in vaccinating nearly 16.7 million children aged between one day and five years against the disease, surpassing the target of 16.5 million, reported Egypt Independent.

  • The campaign has also helped around 21,200 non-Egyptian children also get access to the polio vaccine, as part of efforts to provide medical services to foreigners in the country.
