  • France's ANSM medicine agency limited sales of paracetamol-based drugs in the country as stockpiling by people amid the COVID-19 pandemic potentially threatens availability, as reported in U.S. News & World Report.

  • In order to ensure availability of the medicine, ANSM said pharmacists can sell a maximum of one box of paracetamol to people who do not have symptoms of coronavirus infection and a maximum two boxes to patients who do have symptoms.

  • The agency also suspended sales on the internet of medicines based on paracetamol, ibuprofen and aspirin.
