  • Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Monday urged for "just and timely access to affordable COVID-19 medicine and vaccine," as reported in the National Post.

  • "Debt relief and debt repayment obligations from official creditors (for developing countries) need be re-diverted into financing the handling of COVID-19," Widodo said.

  • Meanwhile, world leaders promised $8 billion on Monday for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, according to European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen.
