Brazil agency gets no new request for emergency use of Russian vaccine - (Fidelity via NewsPoints Desk)

  • Brazilian health regulator Anvisa said on Thursday after a meeting with the local producer of Russia's Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine that it had not submitted a new request for emergency use of the shot in Brazil, as reported in Fidelity.

  • The agency, which has so far authorised COVID-19 vaccines made by AstraZeneca and Sinovac, last week returned paperwork requesting emergency use of Sputnik V because it did not meet the minimum criteria required.
