Brazil drugmaker eyes contract, regulatory OK for Russian vaccine next week - (London South East via NewsPoints Desk)

  • União Química’s director for international business Rogerio Rosso expects Brazil’s health regulator Anvisa to approve emergency use of Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine next week, as reported in London South East.

  • Rosso said the company expects to have a contract with the health ministry by Wednesday for an initial 10 million imported doses based on a reference price of $10 per dose. 

  • He added that the ministry is interested in buying the company’s entire domestic production of Sputnik V for the country's national immunization program.
