Taiwan's government granted emergency-use authorisation to AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, as reported in This is Money.
In December, Taiwan said that agreed to buy almost 20 million vaccine doses, including 10 million from AstraZeneca and 4.76 million doses from the COVAX programme.
Wu Shou-mei, director general of Taiwan's FDA, noted that the first immunisations with AstraZeneca's vaccine can begin with a week of arrival in the country.
The first batch of 200,000 AstraZeneca's vaccine provided by COVAX could begin arriving next week.
